In response to the persisting COVID-19 pandemic, "Theatre ReDefined" conference will be held online on 28-29 May 2021.

News from Feb 17, 2021

The conference "Redefining Theatre: Theatre and Society in Transition" organised within the “Theatre ReDefined“ project will be held online on 28-29 May, 2021.

The event will focus on theatre in times of societal transition both in general terms and with a specific focus on the post-1989 transformations in Central and Eastern Europe. Special emphasis will be placed on the inter-relations between theatre and the public spheres, and on power relations within theatre and its social and political contexts. The conference is a part of the Marie Curie-Skłodowska project “Redefining the Agency: Post-1989 Crisis of the Czech and Former East German Theatre” currently conducted by Dr. Radka Kunderová at the Institute for Theatre Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.
